Let’s keep the Legacy of the Blues Alive!
The Shypanther and Friends Show was created from a longtime love for public radio. The intent was to create shows around music that shared stories to uplift and motivate our listeners in a positive way. We initially started out interviewing business owners and community leaders. After the pandemic, everything shifted and we had to change as well. So, when the opportunity came back round to get on the air, I jumped at the chance. It was my eldest brother, Gary Martin, who is a legendary blues guitarist idea to host blues legends. The very notion of hosting musicians especially legends was intimidating to say the least. However, I thought to myself, it’s now or never and what an awesome meaningful endeavor it has become!
That’s it, that’s my story!😎
As legends, many of my guests are older and have been in the music business a long time. Upon meeting them, you could never guess their age. Not only do many of them look good and have a great attitude, most are funny as heck! Talk about energetic, I tell you it has to be the music that is the secret to their vitality! ❤️
