Let’s keep the Legacy of the Blues Alive!
This video is our relaunch show. My guests are three legendary Blues musicians, Freddie Dixon, Maurice John Vaughn and John Watkins. It was an honor to sit with these gentleman and listen as they shared stories about their careers and life as Blues musicians.
What a great time hosting legendary vocalist, Holle Thee Maxwell! She stopped by to promote her book “Freebase Ain’t Free.” In the book, Ms. Maxwell shares details of her time working with musicians Ike Turner and Jimmy Smith.

Make sure that you don’t miss the LIVE PERFORMANCE BEFORE THE VIDEO ENDS. We had a great time hosting Donna Herula who is a Chicago born blues singer, slide guitarist and songwriter.
This was a great show! I even got to sing chorus with the wonderful Donna Herula! We talk about her love for Delta-style blues, and the huge influence that Edward James “Son”House had on her style of playing.
Check out Donna’s music anyplace you get your music. Follow her www.donnaherula.com and all her social media.
Well y’all, we outdid ourselves with this interview. We were fortunate enough to host RIC in the middle of his tour with legendary Bluesman Buddy Guy.
RICJAZ is one of the best in the business and he is a nice guy too. I hope you enjoy listening to him share hilarious tales of his impressive career!
🔆What is your earliest memory of hearing the Blues? Well, I want to share this with you. Every one of my shows has unique value of its own. This show had me “in my feelings.” 😂 Listening to Terry share these beautiful historical moments that he lived with significant blues pioneers struck a sentimental cord in me! It took me back to my childhood as he described neighborhoods, sights and sounds of his amazing journey with Muddy Waters and Howling Wolf and many others.
“Terry Abrahamson is the only artist in history to have work presented at the Smithsonian Institution, Chicago’s DuSable Museum of African American History, the Blues Hall of Fame, Boston Celtics home games, Johnny Cochran’s funeral, the Provincetown Tennessee Williams Festival on NPR and The Oprah Winfrey Show and before the US Supreme Court. Terry won a Grammy for co-writing “Bus Driver” with legendary Bluesician Muddy Waters, one of five Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees and six Blues Hall of Fame inductees to perform Terry’s work. He is a 2014 Chicago Blues Hall of Fame inductee.”
🎙️The music art form called the Blues means a lot to me…it brings back memories of so much joy for a time of love and hope.
